From traditional thatch to modern Harvey tile — we deliver quality craftsmanship, durable materials, and lasting protection for homes across South Africa.
Every roof tells a story. Here is a selection of projects that reflect our commitment to quality and attention to detail.
Thatchcore was founded in Limpopo with a clear purpose: to bring professional, dependable roofing services to every corner of South Africa. What began as a small local operation has grown into a trusted name spanning provinces - because exceptional craftsmanship knows no boundaries.
Our team combines generations of traditional thatching expertise with modern techniques and materials. Whether it is a heritage-style thatch roof for a family home or a sleek Harvey tile installation for a commercial property, we approach every project with the same commitment to excellence.
We believe your roof should do more than shelter you - it should add character, value, and lasting protection to your property. That is why we source only the finest materials and treat every project as if it were our own home.
From new installations to expert repairs, our skilled team handles every aspect of your roofing needs with precision and care.
We build beautiful, long-lasting thatch roofs using premium hand-selected reeds. Every installation is tailored to your home's architecture and designed to withstand South Africa's climate for decades.
Leaking? Sagging? Storm damage? Our repair specialists diagnose issues quickly and restore your roof to peak condition. Regular maintenance plans keep your investment protected year-round.
Protect your home with professional-grade fire retardant coatings applied by certified technicians. Our treatments meet SABS standards and give you peace of mind without compromising your roof's natural beauty.
For homeowners seeking durability and a contemporary look, we install and repair Harvey tile roofs with expert precision. From underlay to final fixing, every detail is handled to the highest standard.
Over time, thatch accumulates moss, algae, and weathering. Our deep-cleaning and restoration services breathe new life into older roofs, extending their lifespan and restoring their pristine appearance.
Based in Limpopo but serving all of South Africa. No matter where you are, we travel to you — delivering the same quality craftsmanship whether your project is in Polokwane, Johannesburg, or Cape Town.
We let our work speak for itself — but don't just take our word for it.
Thatchcore transformed our home with a stunning thatch roof. The team was professional from start to finish — they arrived on time, worked efficiently, and the finished result exceeded all our expectations. Our neighbours are genuinely jealous!
After a severe storm damaged our thatch roof, Thatchcore came out within 24 hours and had everything repaired within three days. Their fire retardant treatment gives us total peace of mind. I wouldn't call anyone else for roofing work.
We hired Thatchcore for a Harvey tile installation on our commercial building in Gauteng. The quality of workmanship was outstanding — clean lines, proper drainage, and they completed the project ahead of schedule. Highly recommended for any size job.
Thatchcore did all the renovation at Kokoriba Game Lodge and gave us advice to remove the rotten thatch roofs and rethatch. We were taking money out every year — now we are happy, everything is good.
